BDSM – Part 5.4 Edgeplay

Kneel1 Pictures

Edgeplay is definitely for the EXPERIENCED BDSM participant. Although subjective – this is usually defined as certain activities that are generally recognized as being high-risk, even for experienced players.

So which types of activities are considered ‘edgeplay’? (these are just an example and is not an all-inclusive list)

  • Electricity – activity with the use of electro-stimulation
  • Knives – activity with the use of knives, daggers or even swords to produce both physical and mental reactions
  • Suspension Bondage – activity which a bound person is hung from one or more overhead suspension points
  • Fire Play – is a form of temperature play that involves using flame on or very close to, the skin
  • Breath Play incorporates  intentional restriction of oxygen to produce euphoric sensations and/or sexual arousal
  • Humiliation – activities  that incorporates forms of emotionally charged play which can have consequences

Safety First!

Always discuss in detail with your lover/partner what will be done, have a safeword(s) or clear way to communicate stopping or slowing down (ie using the color red = stop, yellow = slow down or humming a particular song)

Additional safety precautions can be found in articles BDSM Part 1 & 2

BDSM – Part 5.3 Electrosex

Leather Corset Image ALR-11-0622

Erotic electrostimulation  involves the application of electrical stimulation to the nerves of the body, with particular emphasis on the genitals, using a power source for purposes of sexual stimulation.

Safety First!

  • It is vital that the electrical charge does not pass through the heart
    • When you apply two electrodes you must always determine the route that the current will take
  • It is also essential that the power is off when applying electrodes as you could inadvertently pass a current through the chest or head
  • Electrostimulation, can cause tissue damage or even death if misused
  • The most common problems arising from electrostimulation tend to be burns from lack of lubrication or bad contact between the electrode and the skin’s surface

Do’s

  • Use a water based lubricant with internal attachments
  • Use electro conductive gel with external attachments
  • Ensure that attachments are dry when connecting to the device
  • Remove body jewellery; it is likely to get very hot and damage the skin
  • Make sure you are fully hydrated before you start your play

Dont’s

  • Use an e-stim device if you are pregnant, epileptic, have any heart problems or have a pacemaker fitted
  • Use electrosex attachments on broken or irritated skin
  • Form a connection anywhere above the waist
  • Use piercings as electrodes

#TBT- Butt Plugs 1892

Butt Plug 1892

Developed in 1892 but not marketed until the turn of the century – Butt Plugs were created by Frank Young. His vision – inserting things up other people’s rectum – was first distributed as a ‘Rectal Dilator’ and was 4 1/2 inches of pain designed to go where the sun never shines.

Originally marketed as the cure for hemorrhoids – Doctors recommended them and was advertised in medical journals.

This Victorian Butt Plug was sold for 40 years across America before the FDA in 1938  banned them for false advertising.

Today’s Butt Plugs come in varying materials, colors and sizes – checkout our large assormtent at Tease To Please Me

BDSM – Part 5.2 CBT

CBT – Cock and Ball Torture

Is a BDSM activity where the torture of the male genitals takes place.

Activities may include:

  • Wax Play – Warm or hot wax usually dripped from candles or ladled onto the genital area
  • Genital Spanking – Spanking the genital area and penis
  • Squeezing – Should be self explanatory
  • Ball-Busting – Consists of testicles kicked, kneed, punched or squeezed
  • Genital Flogging – Use of a flogger on the genital area
  • Tickle Torture – To touch or stroke lightly with the fingers, a feather, or other item – to excite a tingling or itching sensation
  • Erotic Electrostimulation –  This involves applying electrical stimulation to the nerves of the body, in this article the emphasis is on the genitals
  • Kicking – Involves kicking the genital area

Equipment may include:

  • Ball Crusher – A device made from either metal or clear acrylic which causes the testicles to be slowly crushed by turning a nut or screw
  • Ball Stretcher –  Is a sex toy that is fastened around genital area to elongate the scrotum and provide a feeling of pulling the testicles away from the body
  • Humbler – A testicle cuff device that clamps around the base of the scrotum, mounted in the center of a bar that passes behind the thighs at the base of the buttocks
  • Parachute – A small collar, which fastens around the scrotum, and which weights can be hung from
  • Testicle Cuffs – a ring-shaped device placed around the scrotum between the body and the testicles that when closed it does not allow the testicles to pass through it

Safety First!

Always discuss in detail with your lover/partner what will be done, have a safeword(s) or clear way to communicate stopping or slowing down (ie using the color red = stop, yellow = slow down or humming a particular song)

One of the biggest concerns with CBT is circulation. Increased pressure = danger of cutting off circulation.

Keep a close eye out for symptoms such as:

  • Loss in sensation
  • Swelling
  • Change or loss of color

Do’s:

  • Trim pubic hair for a clear view and to avoid snagging
  • Alleviate pressure every 20-30 minutes to restore circulation fully
  • Avoid genital bindings that cannot be easily untied/removed
  • Keep ‘quick release’ tools, such as scissors and cock ring cutters, handy
  • Go slowly, gradually increasing intensity
  • Avoid any practices that seriously wrench or twist the genitals

Don’t(s):

  • Leave clamps on for long periods of time
  • Leave CBT devices or weights on for prolonged periods or through the night
  • Let go of weights suddenly, lower them down gradually and gently
  • Tie the balls to anything. A sudden knee-jerk reaction could result in serious damage
  • Bind the penis/scrotum too tightly – you don’t want to cut off circulation
  • Squeeze the penis too hard, it could damage the erectile tissue
  • Use sharp, hard hits

Rearranging those Pillows!

Try stacking pillows of different shapes and sizes under different areas of your body during your love making session.

For Example:

Try 1-2 pillows under your buttock during missionary style – this will provide your lover a different angle of entry – this should hit just the right spot 🙂

Purchasing Sex Furniture like Perfect Position will also provide a variety of position updates for you and your lover!

    3. Using a collar around their neck, place a rope from the front of the collar to the ankle ties, and pull the rope tight, forcing the ankles as close to the neck as possible
    4. Tie the left upper arm to the left thigh, just above the knee
    5. Tie the right upper arm to the right thigh, just above the knee
    6. Your lover is now folded double
  • Shibari – Japanese bondage style:

  • Suspension Bondage: Bound person is hung from one or more overhead suspension points
    • Vertical Suspension: Using rope or suspension cuffs and lifting your lover by the wrists. (note rope, metal cuffs/handcuffs can cause extreme damage to skin/tissue)
    • Horizontal Suspension: Bound in horizontal position either face up or faced down (most common). Lifting your lover by either wrist  ankles together or kept apart by spreader bar.
    • Inverted Suspension: Using suspension cuffs or rope, your lover is lifted into the air by their ankles. (note due to blood rushing to their heads this position should not be used for long periods of time and can lead to them blacking out. Also as noted above using rope, metal cuffs/handcuffs can cause extreme damage to skin/tissue)

Remember during our initial discussions on BDSM – Safety is critical, many of these bondage positions listed (especially in advanced section) are short term positions, require special equipment (ie suspension bondage – most common danger is falling due to weak suspension points).

Always discuss in detail with your lover/partner what will be done, have a safeword(s) or clear way t0 communicate stopping or slowing down (ie using the color red = stop, yellow = slow down or humming a particular song)

Never leave a bound person alone.

Reference Parts 1-2 for additional safety suggestions.
